Crypto Top 100 - BSC Vault Top 5 (Cap-Weighted) is a sub-index of Crypto Top 100 (CoinGecko). Members: BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, a fixed list; each is a constituent of the parent when the index is registered. Weights: proportional to market capitalisation in the parent snapshot used for the rebalance, capped at 60% per member; any excess is redistributed pro rata by market capitalisation among the members under the cap, repeated until no member is above it, and recomputed at each rebalance. Rebalance: quarterly, at the fixing on the first day of the quarter. Price: the median of mid prices (bid+ask)/2 against USDT on the listed spot exchanges, from the first scan after 00:00 UTC each day. A quote from a venue whose spread is wider than 2% is not used; at least 1 valid venue is needed for a price. Level: in USDT, base 1000 on the first day on or after 2026-10-29 with a complete price set. A day with a missing price is published as data unavailable; no price is carried forward. Published levels are never restated; a rule change is a new version from a future date.
